Deacons gather at St. Charles for Memorial Mass
November is a time to pray for the departed and that was evident at St. Charles, Borromeo, Nederland, during the Deacon Memorial Mass.
Deacons and their wives from all throughout the diocese gathered at St. Charles Nov. 8 to honor those deacons who have died.
Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD, celebrated Mass and asked those in attendance to pray for the departed.
“The month of November has long been set aside by the Church as a time to remember those who have gone on to their eternal reward. It’s a chance for us to pray for the departed and to also reflect on our own lives and take stock of ourselves,” Bishop Guillory said.
